PPA drives itself into political turmoil
BJP rallies behind Pema, terms suspension order unacceptable

ITANAGAR, Dec 30: With the issuance of suspension order to seven of its legislators including Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Thursday, the People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) drives itself into political turmoil and took head on with its ally the BJP.
PPA President Kahfa Bengia subsequently made a stunning revelation that PHED and Disaster Management Minister Takam Pario is front runner for the Chief Ministerial post just after suspension order issued against the seven legislators. Following the unprecedented development within party, the regional party has been divided into two power block -- Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Takam Pario.
Jolted by surprise suspension order, the government Spokesperson Bamang Felix claimed that Chief Minister Pema Khandu is enjoying absolute majority of 49 legislators including 12 BJP and two Independent legislators.
Addressing the media persons in a hurriedly convened press conference here this evening Felix said, "Chief Minister Pema Khandu government under NEDA is enjoying absolute majority, with support of PPA, BJP and two Independent legislators". He reassured that there is no serious issue with the party except few differences within the members.
Playing down the speculation that there could be a change of leadership, the spokesperson stated that rumours has gone viral regarding change of leadership which has no iota of truth adding that Pema Khandu is still the chief minister of Arunachal.
"This morning the twelve legislators of BJP have cleared their stand that they believe and support Pema Khandu as leader of NEDA in Arunachal Pradesh, therefore Pema Khandu is Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh and there is no question of change of leadership" he stated.
Statement of Felix came after PPA President Kahfa Bengia hinted that PHED and Disaster Management Minister Takam Pario could be front runner for the Chief Ministerial post after the CM along with six other members were suspended from primary membership of the party alleging them of indulging in anti-party activities.
Meanwhile, the state BJP has rallied behind Chief Minister Pema Khandu clearing their stand that its 13 legislators including Paknga Bage would support Pema Khandu’s leadership.
Briefing the media persons, BJP leader and Industry and Textiles Tamiyo Taga, said, "The BJP's 13 members (legislators) absolutely stand behind present Chief Minister Pema Khanduji and no other change of leadership is acceptable to BJP".
"In the interest of development and giving political stability to Arunachal Pradesh, the BJP cannot be a party to change the government after every six month repeatedly, so under any circumstance we will not accept any new leadership in this arrangement and we will be supporting Pema Khandu in the Assembly also" BJP stalwart Taga stated.
Taga also informed that PPA did not consult with BJP before suspending seven of its members, however he made it clear that suspending its member is a prerogative of party.
Earlier in the day, PPA President Kahfa Bengia claimed that seven legislators were suspended on the ground of anti-party activities. "Since October, they have been trying to merge with BJP, instead of giving importance to PPA, they inclined more to BJP" alleged Bengia justifying his action.
Further PPA President issued a show-cause notice to all the suspended members seeking their explanation within 48 hours. In its notice served to the members, the party President outlined the charges, alleging them of secretly holding closed door meetings to desert the party, and making several attempts to merge with BJP without taking party into confidence. It also alleged that suspended members had taken decision to implement 7th Central Pay Commission recommendation and teacher ratio from existing 80: 20 to 50:50 ratio without any consultation with the PPA office bearers. To investigate the charges, PPA president informed three members inquiry committee has been constituted with Kamen Ringu as Chairman and Kameng Dolo, Tanga Byaling as members.
AAPSU calls for stability and good governance
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: Irked with the prevailing political situation in the state following the suspension of seven legislators including Chief Minister Pema Khandu from the primary membership of the party by People's Party of Arunachal (PPA), All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) on Friday called for the political stability and good governance in the state.
AAPSU in a statement termed the ongoing political development as disgusting and pure political hara-kiri by the political class. The apex students union said that the frequent power struggle among the elected representatives of the state has adversely affected the development phase of the state.
"It's sort of a record that the state witnessed change of three (3) Chief Ministers in a single calendar year". In recent past, the state had to witness unprecedented chaos because of the unending greed for power by this bunch of politicians" AAPSU added lashing out the political class.
"The political class of the state cannot take the welfare of the people for ransom as per their whims & fancies all the time. Our new AAPSU team will not remain a mute spectator to senseless act by the politicians. We cannot let our beautiful state burn again for few vested individuals" the union asserted.
The union stated that it advocates for stability and good governance asking the elected representatives to look back and gauge the feeling of the public. The union warned the political class to mend their ways at the earliest and spare the common people from the political gimmicks.
East Kameng DC assesses progress of TAH
SEPPA, Dec 30: As a part of several crucial steps undertaken by the District Administration for early completion of the Trans-Arunachal Highway Project, East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Takuk on Friday took stock of the progress of the TAH works at Sede, Patiwa and Veo.
The DC interacted with the land owners and enlightened them about the benefits of TAH. He sought full cooperation from them for early completion of the project and thereby become a part of the development of the district.
Encouraged by the speedy execution of the work, he assured the executing company to provide all possible assistance for smooth implementation of the project.
DC was accompanied by CO Pijerang Tashi W Thongdok, DL&RSO Pudam Taku, ADI Nondo Doka, officials of Sushee Infra GBs.
In the afternoon, Takuk inspected the proposed site of the mini-Secretariat at Seppa. He enquired about the status of the project and suggested several measures for early commencement of the work.
On Thursday, Takuk visited a commercial fish farm of one Kaya Marga and appreciated the work and enthusiasm exhibited by the beneficiary. He enquired about the types of fishes in his pond, annual producing capacity and revenue generation of the farm.
The farm was assisted under the TFC scheme during 2015-16.
He suggested the DFDO to promote and encourage other to emulate and take up such initiative.

Kuchkut village declared cashless
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: The Kuchkut village under 1-Yazali Zila Segment of Lower Subansiri district having a population of over 220 has recorded 100% Aadhar card enrolment and opening of accounts under State Bank of India (SBI), Yazali Branch.
Informing this in a release on Friday, 1-Yazali Anchal Samiti Block Anchal Chairperson, Nabam Piju said that the said village has been declared 'cashless village' on Dec 22 last.
'The villagers can now make cashless transactions with their android mobile phones for their necessary domestic transactions with their respective SBI Buddy application and few others through Aadhar enabling systems', informed the Anchal Chairperson.
Peace Committee inks Gumto declaration for peaceful co-existence
GUMTO, Dec 30: The Joint declaration of Bogoli-Denka-Kachajuli & Dekiajuli Peace committee was signed here on Friday in a simple function.
It was a constituent upon the eviction carried out by the Assam forest and Police personnel on Porter track constructed through barren land devoid of forest plantation by the people of Bogoli-Denka on self help basis for the school going children between two villages on 3rd December 2016 last. During eviction drive a GB of the said village Debia Kojum was also assaulted.
After the incident an emergency joint meeting of social and intellectual leaders of Bogoli-Denka and Kachajuli was held under the chairmanship of Advocate Rekibul Islam. It was organised by Ranjit Saikia of Assam and Tana Indra of Arunachal on 10th December last at PH School & Training centre, Utter Laluk under North Lakhimpur District. It was made effective with the intervention of the Nyishi Elite Society (NES), Papum Pare Unit and All Papum Papum Pare district students union.
In the meeting after threadbare discussion and deliberation all the members present unanimously resolved to uphold the age old peaceful co-existence and social harmony for which a peace committee was formed. A joint declaration to this effect was signed between both the sides.
NES, Secretary I/C Papum Pare Techi Tukap in his address to the gathering said that six point resolutions have been signed today which include condemnation of eviction carried on 3rd December and physical assault on the GB of Bogoli-Denka. Also no govt. agency shall carry out such eviction without consultation of peace committee on either side of border. The peace committee shall strive to co-operate with the government of either side so that peace and tranquility is always maintained. The peace committee shall ensure that no unwanted and further encroachment is carried out by the inhabitant of either side of border. The committee will strive for upholding of the Hon'ble Supreme Court directive to maintain status quo as the matter is subjudice. On the event of any criminal acts committed by the inhabitant/individuals of either side whose intensity and motive might ignite social disharmony, the committee shall ensure to book the perpetrator.
Talking to this daily NES, Papum Pare Unit Chairman R K Taj said that declaration of the agreement signed shall be known as Gumto declaration and will be instrumental in keeping peace and tranquility in Bogoli, Denka area.

LDV KVK organizes Technology Week
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: KVK Lower Dibang Valley organized "Technology Week' from December 23-30 in different villages and office campus to create awareness among farmers on location specific technically feasible and economically viable technologies for easy adoption by large number of farmers for sustainable production and economic returns.
Method demonstration on Bordeaux mixture preparation, Phytophthora root rot disease management in Mandarin orange through application of Bordeaux paste, vermin-composting, capacity building programme on backyard poultry farming, integrated farming system for rational utilisation of resources, fish pond management techniques, organic vegetable production in farmers' field etc. were conducted during the week-long programme.
Tree plantation programme in Government Middle School, Balek village film show on organic farming, vermicomposting, spice crops and drawing, essay competition etc for school children were also organized.
Attending the concluding session, Jatan Pulu, an organic farmer of Yibuk village shared his practical experience on organic farming and urged farmers to go for organic farming for production of chemical free food, healthy environment and sustainable production.
District Development Manager, NABARD Nitya Mili briefed about organisational activities, promotion of group activities, like formation of Farmers Club, its benefits. He also highlighted about centrally sponsored schemes such as, Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme, National Livestock Mission (Pig, Goat and Poultry) and urged farmers to avail the schemes for livelihood improvement.
Kanaga Dhileepan, Assistant Director, Spice Board, Government of India highlighted about promotional schemes of Spice Board, portrayed techniques for ginger and turmeric crops, facilitation of direct marketing and post harvest practices for spice crops.
Dr. TJ Ramesha, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK, Lower Dibang Valley encouraged the farmers to adopt location specific technologies for better production and income.
During inaugural session, Hifzul Haque, Field Officer, Rubber Board of India highlighted about promotional programmes and schemes, suitable varieties, farming systems, post harvest management practices and marketing channel. He also urged farmers to use reliable varieties produced from research station for better production and income.
During the week long programme, the SMSs organised different training and demonstration programmes covering plant protection, livestock, horticulture and fisheries sectors. Also participants were provided with critical inputs such as vermicompost, plant saplings, tree plants and dustbin for school and literatures related to agriculture and allied activities.
Around 300 farmers/farm women, SHG members, school children were benefited from the programme.
Temporary ban on sale of IMFL
ROING, Dec 30: The District Magistrate of Lower Dibang Valley has prohibited selling of Liquor/Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) by licensed wholesale as well as retail vendors from 3 pm of December 29, 2016 to 3 pm of January 2, 2017.
The DM has also prohibited storage and sale of IMFL/Beer at all unauthorized shops, restaurants and residential premises in the district and also sale of liquor by licensed retail/wholesale wine shops to these unauthorized shops/restaurants etc. in bulk during that period.
Violators would be booked under relevant provisions of Arunachal Pradesh Excise Act and necessary actions, including suspension or cancelation of trade license/excise license etc. initiated.
The order has been issued as a precautionary measure to contain/prevent any unpleasant alcohol related incidents during and on eve of New Year celebration.
Early posting of CO sought in Dollungmukh
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: Expressing grave concern over the alleged encroachment carried out by the Assam forest personnel in Dollungmukh under Lower Subansiri district, the All Dollungmukh Area Student's Union (ADASU) and Dollungmukh Area Youth Association (DAYA) have on Friday demanded early posting of a Circle Officer in the area.
In a joint press release, the organizations have alleged that the Assam forest personnel had encroached the boundary of Dollungmukh and conducted an eviction drive which damaged tea plantation of the locals.
'On Dec 15 last, the Assam forest personnel encroached the boundary of Dollungmukh, and conducted an eviction drive which damaged the tea plantation of the locals near Govt. Secondary School, Raj Ali.
The Assam Forest personnel also stopped the construction of tourist-cum- amusement park which was proposed by the GoAP due to the absence of an administrative officer in the area', the organizations claimed.
Both ADASU and DAYA have further urged the Local MLA and concerned district administration to take up the issue with the GoAP for an early solution.

Biki-Sonam win U-17 boys double title
TEZPUR, Dec 30: Biki Lakai and Sonam Tamang from Arunachal Pradesh defeated the pair of Ninjuha and Rindika from Mizoram in straight 15-11 & 15-9 set to win the U-17 Boys Double title at North East Sub-Junior and Junior Badminton Tournament-2016 in Tezpur on Friday.
Kirto Nyorak pairing with Nikhil Chetry of Arunachal had to contend with silver medal after losing 13-15 & 11-15 to Ayan Rasid and BB Bora of Assam in Boys U-13 Double final.
Toku Neha and Nampi Tayam went down fighting 11-15, 14-15 to their opponents from Assam in the semi-final.
Around 290 players participated in the tournament, which was organized by North East Sports Foundation under the aegis of Badminton Association of India from December 27 to 30.
Earlier, Minister for Home, RWD, Labour & Employment (Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh) Kumar Waii along with Minister for Water Resources, Science & Technology (Govt. of Assam) Keshab Mahanta inaugurated the tournament.
Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) Secretary Bamang Tago was honored and felicitated by North East Sports Foundation for rendering tireless services for promotion of badminton in the region.

Arunachal team for 41st Senior Tennikoit Championship
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: All Arunachal Pradesh Tennikoit Association has selected a 12-member team, including two officials, for the 41st Senior Tennikoit Championship scheduled to be held from January 7 to 11 at Rajkut, Gujarat.
Secretary of AAPTA Yibi Doke and Yomga Lombi are the manager and coach of the team respectively.
The team will be leaving for Gujarat on January 1.

ITANAGAR, Dec 30: Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Tezu became champion of the 4th district level Subroto Cup Football Tournament-20l6 of Lohit district.
GHSS, Tezu beat Govt. Sec. School, Wakro in the final played at Jubilee Ground Tezu on 28.
The winner will represent the district at state level Subroto Cup.
PMUY raises national LPG coverage to 70%
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) target of 1.5 crore for current fiscal has been achieved within a span of less than 8 months, said Kimin-based LPG bottling plant manager Sonam P Khrimey quoting Indian Oil Messaging Gateway.
The PMUY, envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide clean cooking fuel to poor households is being implemented across 35 states/UTs, has increased national LPG coverage from 61% (as on 1.1.2016) to 70% (as on 01.12.2016).
An adult woman member of BPL family identified through socio-economic caste census (SECC) data is given a deposit free LPG connection with financial assistance of Rs. 1600 per connection by the Centre. The announcement to release 5 crore LPG connections to BPL families during three years was made with Rs 8,000 crore allocation in Union Budget on 29.2.16.
PM Modi had launched PMUY at Balia, in Uttar Pradesh on 01.05.16. While 14 states/UTs having less than national average LPG coverage, hilly states of J&K, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and all NE India states were identified as priority states for implementing the PMUY .
The top five states with maximum connections namely, UP (46 lakh), West Bengal and Bihar (19 lakh each), Madhya Pradesh (17 lakh) and Rajasthan (14 lakh) constitute nearly 75% of total connections released. The households belonging to SC/ST constitute large chunk of beneficiaries with 35% of connections being released to them, Khrimey added.
Rebia visits Sangdupota circle, puts emphasis on development friendly atmosphere
BEYSERNYELO, Dec 30: Minister for Urban Development, Law and Justice Nabam Rebia visited Sangdupota circle recently and kicked off a football tournament organised by the youths of the circle.
Addressing the gathering at school playground at Beysernyelo, Rebia called upon the people to rededicates themselves to make Sangdupota circle clean and beautiful and to protect the flora and fauna of the area.
He said that Sangdupota circle has high tourism potential that needs to be explored.
Rebia also called upon the people to shun negative attitude towards developmental activities and to create development friendly atmosphere instead. He said that the whole socio-economic condition of people will change once the NIT and others important projects starts functioning in the areas.
He also called upon the youths to devote their time to study. He asked the people to not to encroach upon the notified area of the circle and instructed Circle Officer to expedite construction of market complex as per master plan.
He also inspected the roads and bridges and instructed the concerned authority to expedite the work.

Sensitize people about digital and cashless payments: DC
YINGKIONG, Dec 30: Upper Siang DC, Remo Kamki has urged the HoDs and PRI members to sensitize people about digital and cashless payments.
Speaking during an awareness meeting on Information Education & Communication (IEC) related to digital and cashless payment held at DC's Conference Hall, Yingkiong on Friday, the DC asked the PRI members to make the general public aware of opening of pass book compulsory for direct benefit transfer of beneficiaries. He also directed the bank officials to conducted similar awareness campaigns at various locations from time to time.
Also present during the meeting as resource person was Deputy Branch Manager SBI, S Kalita who spoke about point of sale machine, USSO, customer service point etc. He further termed lack of internet connectivity in remote areas of the district as a main problem affecting the operation of cashless transaction. AYO demands arrest of alleged kidnapper
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: Arunachal Youth Organisation (AYO) has demanded immediate arrest of one Jamru Kem for allegedly kidnapping and committing sexual crime against a school going minor girl.
In a letter written to the Superintendent of Police, Capital Complex, the AYO said that despite two FIRs were lodged against the accused on November 24, and December five in Police stations, Itanagar, the accused person is still roaming freely.
Stating that person like Jamru Kem is a threat to the society, the AYO appealed to the Capital SP to issue an order to the Itanagar Police Station for immediate arrest of the accused.
According to the FIR lodged at Women Police Station on November 24, the alleged accused along with two other persons forcefully kidnapped the minor girl late Poha Yissa from C-Sector, Itanagar on November 23 and kept her in his custody at an unknown destination. In another FIR lodged at Itanagar Police Station while reiterating demand for the arrest of the accused for committing crime against a woman, it was informed that she had committed suicide on the night of December 4 at around 10 pm. The girl also reportedly written a suicide note.
BGBR inauguates ‘Yapak’ bridge
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: Director General Border Roads (DGBR) Lt. Gen Suresh Sharma had inaugurated the Pmt Bridge "Yapak" of 110 Mtr span at Km 42.150 on Changwinti-Walong-Namti road on December 27 during his visit to Lohit and Anjaw districts to inspect the various roads/ bridge infrastructures under by 48 BRTF from December 26 and 28 last.
The 'Yapak' bridge was constructed by 48 BRTF under Project Udayak.
Speaking on the occasion Sharma praised all the officers and troops of 48 BRTF for their indomitable sprit towards providing connectivity to the eastern most parts of India.
During his three days visit, the DGBR also inspected the important roads namely, Dirak-Rupai-Chowkham, Digaru-Tezu, Tezu-Dimwe, Brahamkund - Arrowa, Tohangam-Hayuliang-Changiwinti- Walong-Namati-Kibithu Road and ongoing bridge work at Tilua, Dau, Yasong, Kramti and Yapak. He lauded the executives,who are working in inhospitable areas for their excellent work despite numerous constraints and inclement weather conditions.
Preparatory meet
YINGKIONG, Dec 30: A preparatory meeting in connection with the proposed visit of the DoNER minister to Tuting was held in the conference hall of Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner here on Friday.
The DoNER Minister is scheduled to visit Tuting on January 18, 2017 for inauguration of the steel suspension bridge, Kudak, informed State Legislatively Assembly Deputy Speaker Alo Libang, who was also present in the meeting. Krishna Chandra Award to Higio inspiring
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS) has expressed its happiness for conferring Krishna Chandra Award to former Chief Councillor of Itanagar Municipal Council (IMC) Higio Aruni in recognition of her contribution in social and education sectors and for the welfare of women.

ITANAGAR, Dec 30: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Anjaw celebrated "Jai Kisan Jai Vigyan" week from December 23 to 29 to commemorate the birth anniversary of two former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vaspayee and Chaudhury Charan Singh and to hnour their contribution to the development of agriculture through use of modern technology.
Farmers, rural youths, students and teachers from VKV, Amliang attended the special programme held Amliang village on December 29.
The subject matter specialists (SMSs) conducted technology demonstration and training on cultivation of different kinds of edible mushrooms. The farmers were also sensitized on climate change and its impacts on agriculture.
Strict action sought against FPS indulging in illegality
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: Alleging that the APL, BPL and AAY beneficiaries of Arung, Pilla, Nakar, Nyopang and Rugo villages under Mengio Circle have been receiving rice less than the allocated quantity, the All Mengio Youth Association (AMYA) has in a representation to the state Chief Secretary on Friday appealed to her to take strict action against the fair price shops which are indulging in such illegality.
'Some fair price shops deduct 5 Kg from the allocated rice under APL and BPL schemes', claimed the association adding that wheat, kerosene and sugar have also not been distributed by the said shops since many years.
It has further sought strict action against the said shops within 10 days failing which it has threatened to resort to democratic action.
Traditional dance & drama competition organized
HAWAI, Dec 30: Teams from Watong and Changung village secured the first and second place respectively at the Circle-level traditional dance & drama competition organized by the Vivekananda Kendra, Hawai, Anjaw district as part of the Samartha Bharat Parva at Multi-Purpose Building Urban, here on Wednesday last.
Nagar Prumukh, Hawai, Nanatso Ngi gave away prizes and certificates to the winning teams. The winning team will be taking part at the district-level competition to be held on Jan 12 next.
Early release of selling commission sought
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: Claiming that the state government has not released the selling commission/dealers margin to the fair price shop dealers for the month of April to Dec 2016, the Arunachal Pradesh Fair Price Shop Dealers Welfare Association has in a representation to the state Chief Secretary on Friday appealed to her to ensure that the same is released at the earliest.
Retiring CE given warm farewell
ITANAGAR, Dec 30: Chief Engineer (Training and Vigilance), PWD, Tacha Gongo was accorded warm and affectionate farewell on his retirement on superannuation on December 31 organized in the office of the Superintending Engineer, Capital Complex cum Coordination, PWD on Friday.
The function was attended by all the engineers and other staff of the department.

Modi in advantage
As the last day for depositing old notes of 500 and 1000 ends today, there is still uncertainty over how government will deal with the after effects of demonetisation. In a sudden move on November 8 Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the scrapping of 500 and 1000 notes which use to comprise 85% of total notes available in the market. The move has given immense trouble to the ordinary citizens. It has also badly hit the industrial sector and has led to massive loss of jobs. The economists are still assessing the effects of demonetisation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party BJP has been hard selling the demonetisation move to the people of India. They termed it as move against black money hoarder and a measure to stop counterfeiting of Indian currency. The opposition parties led by Congress has termed it as big scam and alleged that it has been implemented without any proper plan. But as the initial, traumatic phase of "notebandi" ends, Modi seems to have managed to retain popular support in the face of demands that he resign as people continue to face hardships. After successes in municipal elections in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Chandigarh, BJP claims that demonetisation has received a thumbs up, all the more because its rivals made the decision an election issue. Though civic polls can reflect local factors intensely, the absence of a backlash will reassure the BJP as the PM uses every public speech to attack opponents, who he accuses of supporting black money hoarders. For now people are willing to bear all problems with the hope of better future. But it will also be wrong on the part of government to think that people will continue to support them even if there is no concrete result in near future.

Don’t squander the opportunities

Dear all HM's, HMLA's of Arunachal Pradesh creating frequent political turmoil through divisive agenda for certain post and that too which has term for merely around 2 years is harmful and regressive in all counts. This is complete wastage of precious time and resources that should have been invested into productive and progressive pursuits.
It needs to be realized that this state has one of the greatest potential in terms
of all round progress and it is truly a blessed land. Also, it needs to be known
that, polity, governance is one sphere where biggest of creative innovations are
required which is evident from the political chaos unfolding all across the world
due to need of a system that is universally accommodating and progressive to take
whole class of people harmoniously all along. There are severe limitations in merely
changing the leadership in a party without effectively getting into matters like
creation of economic opportunities and creative legislations that can drive and cement

State wide protest is need of the hour
Dear Editor,
I am deeply pained to see the political instability and turmoil in one of my most beloved and sensitive border state of the Indian Republic, Arunachal Pradesh. For long the state has been running on part time Chief Ministers and MLAs who are shifting allegiance from time to time with neither any direction nor objective other than their own selfish political goals and ambitions.
I think it is time for the people of the state to protest unanimously and democratically and push the Governor to dissolve the State Legislative Assembly and ask for a fresh people’s mandate. Local politicians could not be allowed to run a circus where the long term peace and prosperity of the ordinary citizens are being jeopardized. A fresh election and fresh people’s choice is the only alternative. Else another new instable government is not going to be able to take the state forward. Enough is enough and a statewide protest is the call of the time to end this continuous political circus in one of India's most important border state.
